Kadehte çok çok koyu bordo ve parlak, neredeyse siyah denebilecek rengiyle etiketindeki “ink” tanımını hakediyor. Burunda tatlı baharatlar, olgun siyah kiraz, vanilya ve bitter çikolata dans ediyor. Damakta çok yoğun, tam gövdeli, %14.5 alkolü çok iyi dengelemiş kadifemsi tanenli, uzun bitişli. Tipik bir sıcak iklim şirazı. Tattığım en yoğun şirazlardan, neredeyse pekmez gibi. Etiketinde üstünüze damlatmayın lekesi çıkmaz yazıyor 🙂 Her türlü kırmızı et menüsüne güle oynaya eşlik eder. Ama böyle bir şarabı tek başına da yudumlayabilirsiniz.

Üretici Burge ailesi, 1865 yılından beri Barossa vadisinde bağcılık yapıyormuş. Tam 5 nesil sonra artık teruarı tanıdıklarına karar verip kendi şaraplarını üretmeye başlamışlar. Bazı şeyler tesadüfen olmuyor yani.
